The state of each problem lives in harness/progresso.json (written by drill.py). This file is for what the machine cannot capture: patterns in your mistakes.

Recurring mistakes

Write an entry here when the same mistake appears twice. A repeated mistake deserves more attention than ten new problems — it is what your studying is failing to attack.

Checklist before the first round

• drill.py stats — no topic with weight ≥ 1.2 sitting below an average of 3.5
• A hash table from scratch in 20 minutes or less, without looking
• Quicksort and merge sort from memory
• Iterative inorder, preorder and postorder from memory
• A complete trie from memory
• /mock-coding returning a Hire verdict in two consecutive sessions
• The seven protocol steps memorised
• Google Drawings practised (tree and grid templates ready)
• Meet tested on the machine and network you will actually use
• Three questions for the interviewer, written down
